Local Activities/Attractions:

Stanthorpe has made its name for a number of things - apples, granite rocks and now wines.
Officially Queensland's Wine Capital, the area now boasts more than 40 wineries. Take a tour or make your own way around and you will be surprised at the quality of wines and produce in the area.
Magical scenery is another reason to visit. As we are a part of Australia's Great Dividing Range, we are over 3000 feet above sea level and therefore have a distinct climate with four seasons and very cold winters.
National Parks abound - Visit Bald Rock National Park, one of the largest exposed granite rocks in Australia, and Girraween National Park with it's astonishing balancing rocks and spring wildflowers. Or maybe Granite Gardens, the Stanthorpe Art Gallery or the Stanthorpe Heritage Museum is more your scene.
We are just a short drive to Stanthorpe CBD with shopping, restaurants, cafe's, clubs and sports facilities.

How To Get There:
|
|
From Brisbane, take the Ipswich Motorway south to the Cunningham Highway at Riverview. Continue 128km to Warwick and turn left to the New England Highway (follow the signs to Sydney) and continue south approx 56km to Stanthorpe. Don't take the Stanthorpe exit but stay on the highway. Turn left off the highway onto Pancor Road (there is a Motel on the corner) and then right into Stanthorpe-Texas Road, under the bridge and then right into Amiens Road. Glenlyon Drive is the 1st road on the right and Happy Valley Retreat is towards the end of the road.

Register with the reception staff on arrival.
Hours: Monday & Tuesday 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Wednesday to Saturday 8:00am to 9:00pm.
Sunday 9:00am to 2:00pm. If you plan on arriving after these times, please call to make arrangements.
