Mt Gambier built on an extinct volcano is renown for it's historical old hotels, cottages, limestone buildings, museums and heritage walks.
The scenic Blue Lake changes from dark blue to a spectacular turquoise blue during November to March. The fascinating underwater cave galleries, National Parks, Tarpeena Fairytale Park and the renown Animal and Reptile Park are just some of the local attractions.
Enjoy panoramic views from Century Tower overlooking the 2nd crater Valley Lake, City, forests and surrounding country. The 'City Round a Cave', the limestone cave gardens in the city centre leads down to a picnic area and a spectacular viewing platform. Take the Englebrecht cave tour under the city, Coonawarra vineyard tours, canoeing and fishing on the Glenelg River.

How To Get There:

From Adelaide, take the South Eastern Freeway at Stirling continuing as the Princes Highway from Monteith. Continue approx 435 km to Mt Gambier. At Central Mt Gambier, turn left off the highway into Penola Road (towards the airport) and continue for approx 4km, then veer right into Peweena Road. Lemon Gum Bed & Breakfast is 4.5km on the right hand side between White Road and Dycer Road.
