Located 298km (4½ hour drive) west of Hobart and 41km from Queenstown, Strahan lies on the edge of the unspoiled beauty of Macquarie Harbour. Launceston is approx 290km from Strahan. Strahan is a charming fishing village that also serves as the gateway to one of the world's most magnificent wilderness areas with ancient Huon pine rainforests and old convict settlements.
Attractions include River Cruises, beach, golf course, Jet boat, Four wheel drive tours, bush walking, Wilderness railway, restaurants, magnificent history and scenery.
Enjoy the live show "The Ship That Never Was", travel 6km to the Ocean Beach to see 40km of the Wild West Coast and stay to see the magnificent sunsets or the flight of the Shearwaters during Nov - March.

How To Get There:
|
From Hobart, exit the city via Brooker Avenue to the Brooker Highway at Goodwood. Continue for 11km to the Lyell Highway at Granton. The Lyell Highway takes you all the way (275km) to Strahan. Entering Strahan turn right into Harvey Street, continue 700 metres and turn left into Jones Street.
Via Queenstown. You will come to a "T" junction on arrival to Strahan, Turn right into Harvey St. and take the 4th street on the left which is Jones St. At the bottom of Jones St. turn right into Innes St, and reception is on the right. Via Zeehan. You will come to a roundabout on arrival to Strahan, travel straight through, and Reception is around the first corner on the left.
