Lake Eildon designed for irrigation and power generation and one of the largest man made lakes in Australia. 50km long with 550km of shoreline and popular for a variety of water activities from swimming, boating, waterskiing and fishing. Surrounded by National Parks providing excellent walking trails, picnic spots and magnificent views. Take a scenic cruise over Lake Eildon, fish for trout at the Eildon Trout Farm or hand feed the deer at Eildon Deer Park. Visit the beautiful Snob's creek waterfalls or take a horse riding adventure. In winter, a short drive for snow skiing in the snowfields. Browse the many local art galleries and craft shops or enjoy excellent golfing at the Mansfield Golf Course and other nearby courses.

How To Get There:

Just 15km west of Mansfield, and 1 hour from the snow fields, Bonnie Doon is a great place to begin exploring the region whether it's by car or boat. Bonnie Doon Caravan Park is located 55km past Yea, we are the first caravan park at Bonnie Doon.
Exit Melbourne via the Eastern Freeway eastbound connecting to the Maroondah Highway at Nunawading. Continue to the Melba Highway at Coldstream heading north for 65km to Yea and turn right to the Goulburn Valley Highway. After 18km veer left to the Maroondah Highway at Cathkin continuing past Merton and on to Bonnie Doon. Bonnie Doon Caravan Park is in Arnot Street to the left of the highway on the shore of Lake Eildon.
