How To Get There:

Cardwell is the Gateway to Hinchinbrook (world's largest Island National Park) and is located on the Bruce Highway approx 1519km north of Brisbane, halfway between Townsville and Cairns. Cardwell's claim to fame is that it is the only town on the Bruce Highway between Townsville and Cairns which is on the coast. It is easily accessible from the international and domestic air terminals at Cairns and Townsville. Courtesy transfer from Cardwell coach stop and train station on request.
