The cottages have been built with natural cedar and allowed to develop a weathered, rustic look. Each one is just like an individual country dwelling with its own fenced garden and veranda, wood fire, complete kitchen and even a laundry. The interiors feature natural woods, corrugated iron and recycled materials with a particularly Australian flavour, tastefully combined with comfy furniture and soft furnishings. There are a four two-bedroom cottages, one three bedroom lodge that can sleep up to 8, and one romantic loft cottage for two. All have spas.
There is a 2 night minimum stay on weekends in all cottages and a 3 night minimum stay on long weekends.
The facilities at Sanctuary Park Cottages offer all that is great about a romantic getaway with the attraction of a bed and breakfast and the privacy and independence of fully self-contained cottages while the property is also family friendly. Tastefully decorated in an Australian theme making use of natural woods and recycled materials, the Cottages are appointed with all essential facilities.

Healesville is located in the centre of the major attractions of the Yarra Valley and in close proximity to the wider Dandenong Ranges area. In the event that your energy levels increase after a short time, then Sanctuary Park Cottages offers access to a vast choice of activities and site seeing to entertain all ages and for all seasons of the year. The staff can provide directions and local knowledge to assist you to enjoy these activities and are happy to provide booking assistance to local attractions by arrangement.
Healesville Sanctuary is opposite the driveway from Sanctuary Park Cottages and entry is within walking distance(3.5km). The Sanctuary is world renowned, and provides up-close access to more than 200 species of Australian wildlife in a natural bush environment.
Warburton Trail is a 35 kilometre walking and bike-riding trail between Warburton and Lilydale and can be reached by a 9 kilometre car trip from Sanctuary Park Cottages. The trail has been constructed following the old train track used by logging trains for many years. The path meanders through a variety of natural environments, providing easy access to spectacular scenery while also providing the opportunity for some exercise.
Wineries are always a popular attraction in the Yarra Valley, and Sanctuary Park Cottages provides easy access to over 30 properties. Many offer wine tasting, cellar door sales and award winning restaurants. Annual events such as Jazz in the Vines and the grape grazing weekend all add to the attraction of these popular venues.
Antiques, Art and Collectables venues are another key feature of the Yarra Valley with a number of outlets scattered through the region. Monthly markets are held in a number of nearby local communities.
Hot Air Ballooning is a popular activity taking advantage of the Yarra Valley climate and picturesque scenery.
Badger Weir provides easy access to examples of dense Australian bush, plants and trees, as well as the many native birds, which visit the area and can be seen up close. The area also provides picnic facilities. The picnic and bird area is within a few kilometres of Sanctuary Park Cottages.

How To Get There:

Sanctuary Park Cottages is located at Healesville in the Yarra Valley and just 1 hour from the Melbourne CBD. Melways map 278, reference F10.
Access from all directions is easy with Maroondah Highway connecting to main arterials from all directions.
Access by public transport is also easy with train to the Lilydale Station and then to Healesville by bus. Your hosts are happy to pick you up from the Healesville township for the short trip to Sanctuary Park Cottages.

Register with reception on arrival. Check-in is from 2.00pm and the Cottage must be vacated by 10.30am on day of departure.
