Bluestone Motor Inn is a welcome oasis in the desert with cool tropical gardens surrounding clean, comfortable air-conditioned units.
Bluestone Motor Inn offers a range of rooms including Lodges, Standard Rooms and Deluxe Motel Rooms. All units are ground floor. The Lodges are renowned for their roomy interior and are kept in the highest order.
The Deluxe Rooms have a table and chairs as well as a lounge (in most rooms). These Rooms are often referred to as the "Honey Comb" or "Beehive Rooms" for their unique hexagonal shape and design. Two of these rooms are Disabled Access Rooms and feature wheelchair accessible showers (shower chair provided). The entire property is wheelchair accessible.
Family Rooms have a Double bed and either 3 or 4 Single beds per room. These rooms have a table and chairs as well.

One of the many highlights of staying at the Bluestone Motor Inn is the magnificent Pool set amidst swaying palms and flowering gardens. Enjoy a dip in the refreshing water or simply relax and lounge out by its edge.
For your convenience a covered BBQ area can be used to cook meals or as a meeting place to socialize and relax. Utensils can be borrowed from Reception and a basin is available for washing up.
A guest laundry is situated across from the BBQ Area and is open 24 hours. Laundry powder can be purchased from reception.
Anna's Restaurant boasts a relaxed, casual atmosphere although there is a dress code of neat attire, no work wear, singlets or thongs. Prearranged Picnic lunches are available and can be enjoyed in the Alfresco or by the Pool. After hours meals can be arranged in advance as well. There is a full bar attached to the dining room for the guest's convenience as well as a take away fridge in reception (for guest's convenience only). Open for Dinner from 6.00pm to 9.00pm and Breakfast 7.00am to 9.00am, 7 days per week.

Although a modest outback town, Tennant Creek is the Territory's most important settlement after Darwin, Alice Springs and Katherine. Located at the meeting of the Stuart and Barkly Highways and is 504km north of Alice Springs and 978km south of Darwin. The town is surrounded to the east by the Barkly Tablelands - a huge expanse of land that supports some of Australia's premier cattle stations.
Tennant Creek is also known as the Territory's heart of gold; a reference to the friendliness of its people and the area's gold mining history. Australia's last gold rush took place here in the 1930s, and there are plenty of opportunities to learn about it at attractions around the town. Visitors can even try fossicking for their own gold. Visit the Overland Telegraph Station or relax at the Mary Ann Dam Recreation Lake. Discover the region's heritage at the National Trust Museum, Battery Hill Mining Museum and historic sites. Visit the Bill Allen Lookout with 360-degree views, be fascinated by the Devils Marbles (100km south) or visit the Pebbles (14km north).

Tennant Creek is located 510km north of Alice Springs and 700km south of Katherine. Car via the Stuart Hwy. Daily coach service from Darwin, Alice Springs & Queensland. Weekly Ghan passenger train from Adelaide or Darwin. Bluestone Motor Inn is located on the Stuart Highway.
