Sacred Mountain Retreat is a beautiful retreat found on the gorgeous Coffs Coast at Valla, just south of Coffs Harbour and minutes from Nambucca Heads and Valla Beach. Elevated 200m on the eastern ridge of the mountain, Sacred Mountain Retreat enjoys so much of what nature offers. Only a few minutes off the highway, with sealed driveway, we are handy to every service and yet private and secluded.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of ocean, bush, rainforest and mountains, and closely overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Sacred Mountain Retreat enjoys spectacular views of surrounding valleys, coastal towns, The Great Dividing Range and a 180 degree ocean vista.
Sacred Mountain Retreat has 3 individual cottages, uniquely designed and positioned. Each cottage enjoys spectacular views, taking in a huge expanse of ocean, miles of coastline and the most easterly mountains of The Great Dividing Range. Each cottage is fitted with hand made furniture, exotic fabrics and set amidst tropical gardens, giving absolute privacy and peace. Guaranteed breathtaking views from every window.
Breakfast supplies are provided for your 1st morning and pastries and newspapers are delivered daily to your own private cottage. Fresh garden produce is available to those who wish to self cater, and tropical fruits are grown here organically.
Children must be closely supervised, as we are located on a unique but rugged terrain.
There are miles of beaches within minutes and for a fresh water swim we have a cool and tranquil lily pond at the foot of the 85 acre natural bush and coastal rainforest property. Bordering National Park, Sacred Mountain Retreat is home to a variety of wildlife including some rare and endangered species. Many birds can be observed here including the Glossy Back Cockatoo. King parrots, mountain lorikeets, eastern rosellas, pheasants, bush turkeys and satin bower birds to name just a few of our visiting feathered friends. Dusk and dawn are the best times to observe birds and listen to their calls and songs, and the sun rising over the pacific is magic. An early rise is well worth the effort.
Sacred Mountain Retreat is halfway between Sydney and Brisbane at beautiful Valla. Nambucca Heads lies 10 minutes south and Coffs Harbour is 40 minutes north and 4 hours from Byron Bay. The vibrant township of Nambucca Heads with restaurants, cinema, clubs and pubs and the beautiful Nambucca River is a holiday makers playground. The township of Bellingen, 15 minutes inland, hosts the Internationally acclaimed Jazz Festival and Global Festival annually, and the famous Bellingen markets are held monthly.

Sacred Mountain Retreat enjoys a unique vantage point for observing ocean activity such as yachting events and of course migrating whales. Enjoy a relaxation body massage by appointment. We have a huge lily pond with pontoon and diving deck perfect for fresh water swimming. 4WD tours are available for beach tours, Rainforest tours & Extreme adventure tours. There are miles of beaches within minutes that are suitable for swimming, surfing, boating, fishing or just walking. Rivers also nearby provide cruises and excellent fishing. There are a range of adventure activities in the area such as Diving, Horse riding, go-karting, white water rafting etc. Our area is renowned for its country markets, country race meets and of course annual Jazz festival and Global festivals.

How To Get There:
|
TRAVELLING NORTH.......... Travelling along the Pacific Hwy, you will cross the Kalang River at URUNGA (Visitor Information Centre on right). From this point you are exactly 10km to BURKES LANE, VALLA. As you enter Valla there is a large sign that reads NAMBUCCA VALLEY UNPACK YOUR BAGS. BURKES LANE is directly opposite this sign on your right. Follow Burkes Lane to the gates of SACRED MOUNTAIN RETREAT.
TRAVELLING SOUTH............Travelling along the Pacific Hwy, you will pass through NAMBUCCA HEADS (KFC on left at Plaza). Continue 11 km to BURKES LANE, VALLA (on Left.) 800m past the Valla Beach Rd turn off. Follow Burkes Lane to the gates of SACRED MOUNTAIN RETREAT.
Elevated 200m on the eastern ridge of the mountain, only a few minutes off the highway with a sealed driveway to Sacred Mountain Retreat.
